Golf apparel used to be described as a combination of function and fashion, but today golf clothes for kids is also called funky. Pants should be made form khaki material. For kids golf clothing there are bright colors and designs which are acceptable if they are khaki/cotton blend material. Jeans and T-shirts are prohibited for both boys and girls. Pants should fit smoothly and not have pleats or baggy legs. This is especially important for players, so the clothing does not come in the way of the swing.
Boys may wear shorts that are plaid, madras, solid, stripes or seersucker. Cargo shorts are not allowed at some courses. Girls can wear the same type of shorts that boys wear as well as skorts. Golf clubs have inseam rules for childrens gold clothing to avoid clothing that is too short or baggy.
Rain gear is also made in trendy styles to please young golfers. Rain gear is considered anything that is waterproof and is worn over the proper clothing. It can be removed during play.
Hats are another important part of kids golf clothing. There are baseball caps, bucket hats, visors, mesh caps and drivers caps that come in many different colors and designs. Some children like to wear their favorite company’s logo cap. Many caps come with UV protection. Golf courses also have dress codes for hats and don’t usually allow baseball caps to be worn backwards.
Golf clothes for kids must also follow the dress codes that apply to adults, but there is a much wider variety of fashionable and trendy designs that make young golfers look cool on the green.
